HAND SIZER FOR THE FLAGSUIT ASTRONAUT GLOVE

This hand-sizing template allows anyone to sketch their own hand and measure the key dimensions required to manufacture a custom-fit astronaut glove. The template provides a simple hands-on activity that engages students and educators alike in collecting the data required to create the glove. Students in classrooms can measure and compare their own hands and then select the dimensions they would specify, either in teams or as a class.

Because this is the actual template that Peter Homer is developing to capture individual hand dimensions, Flagsuit's proprietary computer-aided design system is available to provide gloves to the Astronomy Institute of Maine exclusively for educational purposes—at a tiny fraction of the cost of the NASA glove.
