Astronomers Without Borders

Astronomers Without Borders is dedicated to fostering understanding and goodwill across national and cultural boundaries by creating relationships through the universal appeal of astronomy. Astronomers Without Borders projects promote sharing: Sharing resources. Sharing knowledge. Sharing inspiration.  All through a common interest in something basic and universal—sharing the sky.

Astronomical Society of the Pacific

"The Astronomical Society of the Pacific is an international non-profit scientific and educational organization, founded in 1889, that works to increase understanding and appreciation of astronomy."

Hancock County Planning Commission—
A voluntary association of governments in Hancock County, Maine

HCPC has been providing planning and related government-support assistance to Hancock County municipalities since 1970. Their services now include special projects such as support for healthy communities.

 Flagsuit

Flagsuit LLC was founded in 2007 to commercialize technology developed for Peter Homer's winning entry in the 2007 NASA Astronaut Glove Challenge. Based in coastal Maine, the company is focused on streamlining the production of "Made to Fit" elements for suborbital and future planetary space suits.

International Dark-Sky Association

"The mission of the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) is to preserve and protect the nighttime environment and our heritage of dark skies through quality outdoor lighting."

Maine Space Grant Consortium

The MSGC "consists of colleges, universities, research labs, state agencies, businesses and not-for-profit organizations, all of whom help further NASA's goals while benefiting Maine in many different areas of science and technology."

Phillips Exeter Academy Grainger Observatory

Located in Exeter, NH, "the Phillips Exeter Academy Grainger Observatory is a state of the art facility for astronomical research. The facility includes three domed observatories, a heated classroom building with library and numerous additional instruments to assist students with their research."
